  • Simple Past tense is a form of tense that describes an event that occurred at a specific time in the past. The verb used in this tense must be the second verb (verb 2).In this chapter past tense is used in recount text.

A natural disaster is a terrible accident, e.g. a great flood, a big fire or an earthquake. It usually causes great suffering and loss of a large sum of money. The casualties are injured or died.
